Why the Chinese Don't Get Sick Like We Do

Why the Chinese Don't Get Sick Like We Do

Dear Reader:
Do you know that Chinese men and women often escape dreaded diseases that kill over 1.2 million Americans a year?
What do they know that you don't know?
4,000 years of traditional medicine and modern science now prove that many diseases Western medicine fails to treat could be cured by Chinese healing secrets.
For example...
Heart disease is the #1 killer in America, claiming 700,000-plus lives a year.
Yet, over a three-year period in China, not a single person under the age 64 died of heart disease -- out of 470,000 men and women living in two counties.
Here's another one:
Cancer is the #2 killer in America, taking over 550,000 lives a year.
Yet, according to The China Study, rural Chinese women have five times less risk of dying from breast cancer than their American counterparts.
Why is it, when it comes to sickness and disease, that the Chinese in many cases have less risk and a greater propensity for healing than Americans?
Millions and millions of Chinese men and women understand, live by and believe in the powerful, yet safe healing remedies of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
As you'll see here, Traditional Chinese Medicine is far different than Western medicine.
And now, you can see for yourself how this 4,000-year-old miracle could help you relieve some of your worst pain and debilitating diseases without depending on prescription drugs.
Here are just some of the breakthrough cures and treatments that we've recently reported on in our newest monthly newsletter called Chineses Medicine Miracle

  • The prized Chinese herbal combination that remedies fatigue. 86% success rate in clinical study.
  • The Chinese call this herb "chai hu,” and it's used medicinally for liver and viral infections. Harvard Medical School's list of the conditions it treats includes angina, cancer, dementia, depression and diabetes.

Hand Air Dryers Spread Germs: Study

For years, many experts thought that using hand air dryers found in public toilets was more sanitary than using paper towels. But they actually spread germs, according to new research from the U.K.'s University of Leeds.

The researchers found that germ counts around high-powered "jet-air" and ordinary warm-air hand dryers were 27 times higher in comparison with the air around paper towel dispensers.

Air hand dryers scatter germs much like an aerosol can disperses its contents when sprayed, and the study found that both jet and warm air hand dryers spread bacteria into the air and onto users and those nearby.

To mimic hands that have been poorly washed, the researchers contaminated hands with a harmless type of bacteria called Lactobacillus, which is not normally found in public bathrooms.

Any Lactobacillus detected in the air proved that it must have come from the hands during drying. The experts collected air samples around the hand dryers and also at distances of one and two meters away.

Air bacterial counts close to jet air dryers were found to be 4.5 times higher than around warm air dryers and 27 times higher compared with the air when using paper towels.

Bacteria persisted in the air next to the dryers well beyond the 15 second hand-drying time, with approximately half (48 percent) of the Lactobacilli collected more than five minutes after drying ended. Lactobacilli were still detected in the air 15 minutes after hand drying.

Team leader Professor Mark Wilcox said: "Next time you dry your hands in a public toilet using an electric hand dryer, you may be spreading bacteria without knowing it. You may also be splattered with bugs from other people's hands.

"These findings are important for understanding the ways in which bacteria spread, with the potential to transmit illness and disease."

Canned Food Can Raise Blood Pressure: Study

Eating food from cans lined with the chemical bisphenol A (BPA) could raise your blood pressure, a new study suggests.

BPA previously has been linked to a variety of ills, including heart problems, developmental problems in children and high blood pressure. The chemical is widely used in products ranging from plastic bottles and food containers to dental fillings and cash register receipts. In cans, BPA is used as a lining, the researchers said.

"We found that drinking two canned beverages increased systolic blood pressure by 5 mm Hg," said lead researcher Dr. Yun-Chul Hong, director of the Environmental Health Center at Seoul National University College of Medicine in Korea.

Putting that in perspective, he said a 20 mm Hg increase in systolic blood pressure doubles the risk for heart disease. The systolic blood pressure number is always the first of two numbers given in a blood pressure reading.

"Because these results confirm findings from other studies, doctors and patients, particularly those with high blood pressure or heart disease, should be aware of the possible risks from increased blood pressure when consuming canned foods or beverages," he said.

Previous research has shown that BPA in containers can leach into food and beverages.
Since BPA acts like the hormone estrogen, Hong thinks it raises blood pressure as it interacts with cells in the heart and blood vessels that are sensitive to estrogen.

For the study, Hong's team had 60 men and women, aged 60 and up, drink soy milk from either cans or glass bottles on three occasions. The researchers assessed participants' blood pressure and heart rate two hours after drinking the soy milk and also tested their urine for BPA.

Urine tests showed a 1,600 percent increase in BPA among those who drank from cans, compared with those who drank from glass bottles. Soy milk was chosen for the test because it has no known ingredient that elevates blood pressure, the researchers said.

The report was published online Dec. 8 in the journal Hypertension.

Steven Hentges, from the Polycarbonate/BPA Global Group at the American Chemistry Council, disputed the study's conclusions.

"This study's claim that BPA ... 'may pose a substantial health risk' is a gross overstatement of the findings, an incredible disservice to public health, and runs contrary to years of research by government scientists," Hentges said in a news release.

Research on the safety of BPA around the world has shown that it is safe, Hentges said.

"For example, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration responded last year to the question, 'Is BPA safe?' with one unambiguous word: 'Yes,' " he said.

Steven Gilbert, director and founder of the U.S. Institute of Neurotoxicology and Neurological Disorders, disagreed.

"They should get BPA out of can linings," he said. "We need to find safer alternatives."

Gilbert said he was especially concerned with children's exposure to BPA, because it can affect physical and mental development. For example, BPA has been linked to a condition called gynecomastia (male breast growth), he said.

BPA has also been associated with behavioral problems, obesity and type 2 diabetes, Gilbert said. Other studies have linked the chemical to breast and prostate cancer, and heart and kidney disease, he added.

Although the blood pressure increase observed in this study was small, it is possible it was due to BPA, he said. "It would be nice if they showed a more robust change in blood pressure," he said.

The best way to limit BPA consumption is to eat fresh or frozen foods and look for BPA-free water bottles, Gilbert said.

This Spice Soothes Your Stomach… and Could Prevent Cancer

In many parts of the world, it has been known for centuries for a different reason.  And that’s the one we’re interested in today…
You see, this spice has great healing powers.Traditional doctors in Asia, Africa, India, and South America have known it helps ease stomach problems and much more.
Modern-day scientists are finally catching on. They have tested this plant root in the laboratory.  And once again, traditional doctors were right all along…
A previous study showed that it effectively fights colorectal cancer, the second leading cause of cancer death in America. The authors noted that this spice “…seem(s) to be promising for cancer prevention; however, further clinical studies are warranted to assess the efficacy and safety…”
And further clinical studies are exactly what we now have…
Because another group of researchers have confirmed it’s a powerful weapon against prostate cancer.  A cancer that you’re all but guaranteed to get if you’re a man who lives long enough.
The researchers from Georgia State University undertook the first study of its kind.  Rather than assessing one compound from this plant root, they tested the whole thing to see how it affects cancer growth. And the results were very encouraging.
So what was it?
A whole ginger root.
Scientists implanted human prostate cancer in mice.  The experiment lasted only eight weeks.  But during that time, the whole ginger extract reduced tumors by as much as 56%.  And it was completely safe.
Results indicate you’d need to eat about 3 ½ ounces of the whole root extract every day to see these kinds of benefits. The powerful antioxidants in ginger help stop free radicals from damaging genes. They stop cancer before it gets started. And they may even stop cancer cells from growing, researchers say.
But of course, the wonders of this spice don’t end there…
It also soothes the side effects of cancer treatment.
A study in India involved children and young adults with bone cancer. They were all getting chemotherapy. Could ginger root powder relieve their nausea and vomiting?
Half the children got ginger root powder capsules. Half got a placebo. The control group had significantly more moderate to severe nausea and vomiting, compared to the “ginger group.” The ginger group also had fewer delayed reactions to their treatment.
Another large study involved women with cancer.  They had surgery, and were taking the cancer treatment drug cisplatin. They started taking ginger capsules when they started the drug, and took it for five days. Ginger eased their nausea.
In a different study, women took three ginger capsules daily for three days before starting chemotherapy. They took capsules for three days during treatment, too. The ginger really helped their nausea.  Each capsule had 250 mg of ginger.
Around the world, doctors prescribe ginger to treat the common cold, fever, sore throats, vomiting, motion sickness, arthritis, sprains, cramps, high blood pressure, and fever.
There are many ways to add ginger to your diet. You can buy raw ginger at a grocery store and make it into a tea. It’s also available as a supplement. It comes in extract or capsule form… and you can get them online or at a health food store.

Drink THIS First Thing in the Morning

By Mike Geary - Certified Nutrition Specialist

This daily trick can help you detoxify, improve your digestion and boost your metabolism & energy levels

You're bombarded with toxins in today's modern world... everywhere from the polluted air you breathe, the water you drink, the shampoos and other cosmetics that lather your body with chemicals, and of course, all of the chemical additives, pesticides, hormones, antibiotics and other harmful compounds in the food that you eat.

All of these TOXINS can have harmful effects on your body, harming your metabolism and hormones, impairing your digestive system, and zapping your energy levels.

If I could tell you ONE thing that you could do each morning right as you wake up to help your body eliminate some of these toxins, improve your digestion, stimulate your metabolism, and BOOST your energy, would you do it?

Of course you would... and it takes less than 1 minute!

Here's the trick...
Immediately upon waking each day, squeeze about 1/2 to 1 full lemon (depending on size of the lemon) into an 8 oz glass of warm or room temperature purified water.  This is gentler on your body first thing in the morning compared to ice cold water.  I've found that slicing the lemon into quarters before squeezing by hand is easier than squeezing halves.

Drink this at least 10 minutes before eating any food for the day.

Make sure to use fresh organic lemons to make this drink, and not bottled lemon juice.  You want to use organic lemons to avoid the pesticides that can accumulate.

3 Major benefits of this morning drink to your body, health, and energy:

According to a leading health publication, TheAlternativeDaily.com:

"The health promoting benefits of lemons are powerful. For centuries, it has been known that lemons contain powerful antibacterial, antiviral and immune boosting components. We know that lemons are a great digestive aid and liver cleanser.

Lemons contain citric acid, magnesium, bioflavonoids, vitamin C, pectin, calcium and limonene, which supercharge our immunity so that the body can fight infection.

Lemons are considered one of the most alkalizing foods you can eat. This may seem untrue as they are acidic on their own. However, in the body, lemons are alkaline; the citric acid does not create acidity once it has been metabolized. The minerals in lemons are actually what helps to alkalize the blood.  Most people are too acidic (from eating too much sugar and grains), and drinking warm lemon water helps reduce overall acidity, drawing uric acid from the joints.

This reduces the pain and inflammation which many people feel. And the American Cancer Society recommends warm lemon water to encourage regular bowel movements."

Benefits that you can enjoy:

1. Improves your digestion: Lemon juice helps your body improve digestion and stimulates bile production. Lemon juice can even be an aid for heartburn and indigestion.

2. Boosts your energy for the day:
Even just the scent of lemon juice has been shown to improve your mood and energy levels, and reduce anxiety.  Plus the detoxifying effect and alkalizing effect of fresh organic lemon juice can improve your energy through the removal of toxins from your body.

3. Helps you to lose fat:
Since lemon juice helps to improve your digestive system, aids in removal of toxins, and increases your energy levels, this all combines together to help you to lose body fat as well through improving your hormonal balance... Yet another reason to add warm lemon water to your daily morning routine!

That's a pretty simple trick, right?

6 Reasons to Avoid Hand Sanitizers This Season

6 Reasons to Avoid Hand Sanitizers
Tuesday, 23 Dec 2014 10:17 AM By Sylvia Booth Hubbard Winter is almost here, and flu and colds are rising along with the chilly winds. Experts advise avoiding illness by washing your hands on a regular basis, and using hand sanitizer when a good scrub with soap and water isn't handy. But could using hand sanitizers do more harm than good? While hand sanitizers do kill germs, they also have a dark side that can cause other health problems. They include: 1. Triclosans. Triclosans in hand sanitizers prevent the growth of bacteria, but they may do much more harm than good. The FDA says they're contributing to making bacteria resistant to antibiotics, and helping create superbugs such as MRSA. Triclosan, which degrades to dioxins in the body, has a long list of health red flags. A 2014 study by the American Chemical Society found that triclosans spurred the growth of breast cancer cells, and studies at the University of California at Davis found they can kill brain cells. Numerous additional studies have found it interferes with hormones. 2. Parabens. Hand sanitizers often contain chemicals called parabens that prevent the growth of bacteria. They've been linked to a host of dangerous health problems including cancer, neurotoxicity, endocrine disruptions, and skin irritation. Avoid labels that include these common parabens: ethylparaben, butylparaben, methylparaben, and propylparaben. 3. Alcohol. Hand sanitizers contain about 65 percent ethyl alcohol — pure alcohol — and some of it is absorbed into the skin. Research has found alcohol in the blood stream of people who used hand sanitizers, and children have been known to lick enough from their hands to become drunk. Alcohol from the sanitizers can also be absorbed through inhaling its vapors. Many hand sanitizers also contain isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) which is a petrochemical that's a known neurotoxin. It is also absorbed through the skin and is toxic even in small doses. Together, the two types of alcohol can comprise up to 95 percent of a hand sanitizer's volume. Alcohol-free sanitizers aren't a safe substitute, either, because they also contain toxic ingredients such as benzalkonium chloride, which has been linked to immune dysfunction and hypersensitivity, which can cause asthma and chronic dermatitis. In addition, alcohol can break down the protective outer layers of skin and allow chemicals, like those found in the hand sanitizer itself, such as parabens, to penetrate the skin easier, as well as chemicals such as BPA found on cash register receipts. In a recent study published in PLoS ONE, researchers found that volunteers who held thermal receipt papers after using sanitizers absorbed up to 100 times more chemicals those who hadn't used them. 4. Fragrance. Fragrant hand sanitizers usually indicate chemicals, which are often toxic. Since the ingredients of fragrances are considered proprietary information and are virtually unregulated, you have no way of knowing the chemicals that you'll be putting on your skin. Many contain phthalates to make the fragrance last longer, but they are known endocrine disrupters. According to the Environmental Working Group, fragrances have been linked with allergies, respiratory distress, dermatitis, and possible effects on the reproductive system. If you choose to use a hand sanitizer, choose one that's unscented. 5. Antibiotic resistance. Hand sanitizers and similar products are increasing the development of bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics. If you still want to use a hand sanitizer, choose one that isn't labeled "antibacterial." 6. Immune system. Hand sanitizers may affect your immune system by killing good bacteria which keep disease-causing bacteria at bay. A 2011 study by the Centers for Disease Control found that healthcare workers who routinely used hand sanitizers increased their risk of developing norovirus by almost 600 percent Copyright: www.newsmax.com
